"Strengthening Strategic Partnership between Japan and Taiwan" International Forum

FRA and Japanese Conservative Union co-hosted this one-day forum. Steve Bannon, Former White House Chief Strategist, Adviser of U.S. President Donald Trump, gave a pre-recorded vedio speech, said he had planned to come to Taiwan, but due to the impeachment of Donald Trump, he must stay with the President, thus he could only participate the forum via this way.
Among Japanese speakers and panalists there were Professor Gemki Fujii,Admiral Hideaki Kaneda, Dr. Lin KenRyo, Former Mayor of Sendai Professor Katsuhiko Umehara, and JCU Chairman Jikido "Jay" Aeba.
Representing Taiwan, there were Dr. Michael Ying-mao Kau, Chou Fan, Madam Maysing Yang, Dr. Parris Hsu-Cheng Chang, Dr. I-Chung Lai, Dr. Chu-Cheng Ming, Dr. Wei-Pang Kao, Dr. Ching-Hsi Chang.
FRA, as representive of Taiwan's conservertives, was invited by the host JCU to join J-CPAC 2019, FRA president Yen lead the delegation to Japan.
President Yen, as former Minister of Finance of Taiwan and Permanent Ambassador of Taiwan to the WTO, was invited to be one of key speakers of the confluence, gave 1 keynote speech and join 2 sessions. Other key spearkers:
Dr. Vesselin Popovski,Vice Dean of the Law School and Executive Director of the Centre for UN Studies at O.P. Jindal Global University in India.
Edmund C. Moy, Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel at The
White House from 2001-2006, advising President George W. Bush on political appointments.
Jayadeva Ranade, Member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) and President of the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy.
Dan Schneider, Executive Director of the ACU.

The 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference was the annual event of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), hosted by the American Conservative Union(ACU). ACU is one of the oldest conservative organizations in US.
CPAC 2019 was held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Maryland, from February 27 to March 2, 2019. The event was headlined by President Donald Trump, with many speakers and panels throughout the conference. Among other speakers are US vice president Mike Pence, senator Ted Cruz, former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin, leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage.
The mission of FRA is to promote conservative values, participate in international conservative activities, and link Taiwan's conservatives with global conservative organizations. We actively participated in CPAC 2019 to fullfil our purpose.

Nowadays, important allies of Taiwan, most of all the United States and Japan, are governed by conservative parties. FRA had participated in CPAC 2019 hosted by ACU from February 17 to March 2, 2019. FRA continued to participate in J-CPAC 2019 conference in Japan in order to expand our relationship with international conservatives.
